The XI edition of the Ruta del cocido madrileño is here! Ideal for a cold winter day, until the end of March you can taste the stews of the participating restaurants. And the best thing is that you will also be able to enjoy your own cocido at home… We encourage you to try it and vote for the best cocido.

Until March 31 you can enjoy this traditional madrilenian dish in many bars and restaurants in the capital. One of the most typical dishes in Madrid, and even of Spanish gastronomy. With cold weather it is practically impossible not to feel like tasting a good ‘cocido’.

To enjoy the pleasures of traditional cuisine, it is essential that you visit one of the restaurants participating in the XI Ruta del cocido madrileño. Many of them have two options to taste their menu: in their restaurant or in take-away version, so you can take the stew home and eat it there at your leisure.

The restaurants are divided by geographical areas of the city of Madrid and the region, so that all ‘cocido’ lovers can find where to taste this wonderful dish.

The ambassador of this eleventh edition is Luis Suárez de Lezo, president of La Academia Madrileña de Gastronomía. A luxury delegate for an exquisite dish that will be distributed in 35 restaurants in Madrid, with more than 2,800 servings of stew, which means 600 kilos of noodles and 200 kilos of chickpeas.
